Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport References Committee Hearing Opens
The rural and regional affairs and transport references committee has commenced its hearing into the Australian wine grape purchases code of conduct. The chair, Senator Matthew Canavan, has declared the hearing open and introduced the committee members present. Senator Canavan has also reminded witnesses of their rights and protections under parliamentary privilege, including the right to claim privilege and the protection against threats or disadvantage for giving evidence. The committee has also been informed that the proceedings will be broadcast and a record will be prepared.
